As they faced each other in the dimly lit foyer, no words came, but their faces spoke volumes as Mark's nearly crystal blue eyes met Diane's which had small tears glistening in their corners.
She looked so unbelievably beautiful and incredibly vulnerable. Mark could barely catch his breath. He reached out to gently remove a strawberry and golden tendril of hair from in front of Diane's eye. As he tucked the hair gently behind her ear, her hand came up to rest softly on his chest, where she could feel the rapid beat of his heart in her palm.
As Mark slid the straps of her pearl gray silk dress off her shoulders and it slid sensuously to the floor, the time for thinking evaporated. It was replaced by pure animal passion, as the lace slip and stockings joined the dress, making a gray silk puddle on the floor around her feet.
